Home Youth Corner Kids’ arts festival on at the end of October

Windhoek

The Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre (FNCC) and ChiNamibia – in partnership with I Am The Key children’s media, Veesion TV.com and the National Art Gallery of Namibia (NTN) – will host a Children’s Art and Cultural Festival and Kids’ Market on October 31 at FNCC Terrace and Gallery.

The aim is to celebrate and promote African culture and arts through dance, poetry, song, theater and storytelling among young people. The festival will give children from different countries the platform to interact with one another and learn about different cultures.

ChiNamibia is celebrating this festival for the second time with children from Namibia, Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Children, aged 8 to 16, can book stalls for N$100 (non-refundable). Registration forms are obtainable at the reception at FNCC at 118 Robert Mugabe Avenue and must be handed in at the FNCC reception. Contact the organisers on Tel. 061 387330 for more information.

Tickets for the festival are available from the FNCC for N$30. For children,  aged five years and below, entry will be free.
