By Irmi Schreiber The Wild Cinema Film Festival Trust has extended the deadline for admission of Namibian Film Productions for the Wild Cinema Windhoek International Film Festival 2006 to January 31, 2006. The festival will take place from May 12 to 21, 2006 at five different venues in Windhoek. Wild Cinema once again will feature some of the best of world cinema from recent years. Another feature of the programme will be international films produced in Namibia as well as the works of Namibian filmmakers such as short movies, documentaries, music videos or even small feature films. Wild Cinema once again invites all professional filmmakers and film students in Namibia to submit their recent film productions for next year’s festival. The deadline has been extended from December 15, 2005 to January 31, 2006. All entries must be filmed in professional digital video (DV) format or higher. Entries must have been produced after January 2005. Each entrant may submit a maximum of two films. Entries will be viewed and chosen by a selection committee. There will be no remuneration for screening of films; Wild Cinema’s aim is to give exposure to the local film industry. Application forms can be obtained from FNCC, NTN, Goethe-Centre/NaDS and the Film Commission or directly through the Wild Cinema Film Festival Trust, e-mail: mb.mln@iway.na, Phone 0811-241714, contact: Michaela Bauer.
