Namibian BBA representative, Permithias, up for eviction.

Home Time Out Namibian BBA representative, Permithias, up for eviction.

WINDHOEK – With the housemates having had a taste of reality after a week of settling in, things are now getting interesting during week two. Nomination fever hit the big brother house on Monday morning with Namibian representative, Permithias, in the hot sit for possible eviction.

Permithias receive six votes for reasons such as “not being responsible with house chores”, “for his obscure character”, “ being annoying”,  “having no self-control with how far he push people”, “ trying to play the girls” and for “being provocative and rehashed unnecessary past issues”. Samantha, as the Head of House, had to add a name to the list of nominees, Permithias, Esther, Frankie, JJ, Lavenda and Tayo. This week that misfortune befell Ugandan beauty queen and siren, Ellah.

Earlier before the nominations, Mozambique’s representative Mira left our representative Luis Munana  weeping after she was evicted from the Big Brother Hotshots last Sunday. Mira and Zambia’s Resa became the first two housemates to be evicted following the first week which saw the housemates going all-out to impress the continent with their Hotshots talents. After Mira checked out her highlights on stage, she admitted that she’d gotten close to Luis during her brief stay, no surprise as she left the Namibian in tears after an embrace and kiss on her way out of the house. Mira’s exit affected Luis most who confessed to just that in his diary session. The eviction left a bittersweet taste in his mouth because although he was glad to have made it from the evictions though he was rocked by Mira ‘sexodus’. “I feel like I lost a part of myself,” he lamented, because she was the housemate with whom he had formed a strong connection. But he chose to be motivated by it instead.

It was a busy first week, with the housemates getting to know each other and delving into their first challenges. They won their first task advertising their Hotshots talents with posters, impressing Big Brother with their skills. Cliques formed, the first signs of mischief caused a stir and some housemates got quite close. Mira planted kisses on Luis and Nhlanhla during the very first party and Idris and Goitse hooked up just about immediately, though they’re playing it cool.

The housemates also got to participate in their first Extravaganza Task. Head of House, Laveda, chose the two teams and immediately caused dissention when it appeared she’d pit the ‘artists’ against the ‘intellectuals’. As it turned out, team Waka Waka – the ‘intellectuals ‘ – impressed viewers most with their performance and won immunity from nomination this week. Unluckily for group members, Mira and Resa, that prize came too late, but it does give Sheillah, Nhlanhla, Luis, Macky2, Trezagah, Mr. 265, Sipe, Idris, Ellah, Butterphly and M’am Bea some room to breathe this week.
