Ndauendapo appointed acting deputy judge president

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) yesterday announced the appointment of Judge Gervasius Ndauendapo, as acting deputy judge president of the High Court of Namibia.

The appointment, according to JSC Secretary Elias Shikongo, was made by President Nangolo Mbumba, on the recommendation of the JSC and is effective from 1 December 2024 to 31 March 2025. “Justice Ndauendapo obtained a Bachelor of Laws in 1992 and a Master of Laws in Maritime Law in 1996, both from the University of Cape Town. He has served as a Judge of the High Court of Namibia since 1 May 2008. The Judicial Service Commission congratulates Justice Ndauendapo on his appointment and wishes him well in the execution of his duties,” Shikongo said in a press statement yesterday.

Ndauendapo replaces Hosea Angula, who was appointed to serve as a permanent judge in the Supreme Court. Angula replaced Justice Dave Smuts, who retired.
