Navy determined to upset Tigers ...as action in the NNPL continues

The Namibia Navy netball players are determined to upset log leaders Tigers in their MTC Netball Namibia Premier League (NNPL) encounter tomorrow.

The Round 4 clash is slated for the Kuisebmund netball courts in Walvis Bay, and will kick off at 14h00.

Speaking to New Era Sport yesterday, the Navy’s coach Charles Muukua said both teams will be fighting for bragging rights.

“It’s going to be the match to watch. My team is ready. We did not play any games last week, so we had enough time to work on different aspects of the game. I believe my players are physically and mentally fit for this encounter,” he said.

Muukua said their chances of winning are high.

“I will say our total chances stand at 70%. We have stronger players in our team, such as Anna Kaspar, who plays in the national team. I believe that’s a huge boost for our squad heading into a game like this,” he said excitedly. Meanwhile, Tigers coach Morné Pienaar felt his team is equally ready for Saturday’s encounter.

“The team has been training for the whole week, and it would be a great game if what we have been working on in training will be replicated there,” he noted.

Elsewhere, Grootfontein will host Dollar Stars at 14h00, while Mighty Gunners and Rundu Chiefs will confront each other at 15h10 at the Grootfontein netball courts.
