Over 200 graduate from Lingua

Over 200 graduate from Lingua

The International Training College Lingua held its graduation ceremony recently, where more than 200 students graduated from different fields of study.

Board chairperson Majory Mukasa congratulated graduates on their remarkable milestone and achievement.

“I have had the privilege of witnessing your growth and development during your time at Lingua,” she said.

Education ministry’s deputy executive director Lisho Mundia said graduation marks the culmination of years of hard work, dedication and perseverance. “You are not just receiving your certificates, diplomas and degrees. You are stepping into the world as educated and empowered individuals, ready to make a difference in society. As you embark on this new chapter of your lives, I would like to address several key areas that will remind you of our responsibility, the college you’re graduating from, and your journey ahead,” he said.

Justice minister Yvonne Dausab encouraged the graduates to embrace technological advancement, innovation and creativity for change and transformation in their careers.

“This captures the essence of what lies ahead, a world that is constantly evolving. You, the youth of today, have the opportunity to harness the power of AI and other emerging technologies to tackle global issues and shape your futures. Remember, real growth and overcoming challenges come from taking action. As James Clear discusses in ‘Atomic Habits’, progress is made through concrete steps, rather than mere planning. Your experiences will be your most valuable teacher, and your approach to challenges will define your success,” she said.

The college is looking to increase its student enrolment to at least 10 000 by 2026, and have more students graduate from there.
