Wetumwene Shikage has been appointed as Bank Windhoek’s strategic communication specialist in the marketing and corporate communication services' department. Her appointment is effective Friday, 1 March 2024.  Shikage will support the bank’s strategic communication manager in collating and writing content for internal and external communication in her new role. Her key role is to ensure communication messaging is of a high standard, accurate, engaging and aligned with the bank’s strategy. 

She has over five years experience in compiling print and digital media content for the media industry. 

Her experience includes television production and presenting video and audio editing, as well as social media management for Namibia Media Holdings (NMH). Her responsibilities included writing community-based and corporate stories for NMH, published in their daily newspapers. 

Shikage is in her final year at the Namibia University of Science and Technology, working toward a Bachelor’s degree in English and Linguistics.
