Last year, we went on an ambitious journey of visualising this column that yours truly authored since 2014. A journey that saw some of the biggest personalities join me on a couch to address their careers and life’s journeys. Since launching the podcast version of #IndustryLoop, we’ve featured Pombili Shilongo, Jericho, CJ The Radio Guru, Cheeze KBVDP, Sula Kyababa, Liz Ross, Elvo Diergaardt, Dj KBoz, D-Naff and Marvtown (Titans right).
The podcast has since gone on to be Namibia’s point of reference, and has become the biggest podcast in the land. Elvo used the platform to be brutally honest about his mental and financial struggles. The episode inspired stakeholders and sympathisers of the entertainment industry into coming together to help Namibia’s greatest music producer, and seek sustainable solutions for other entertainers who may find themselves in a similar predicament as that of Elvo.
Going into the new year, I’ve had people from all over this country enquire about the whereabouts of the podcast. Some speculated that I may have discontinued the podcast. Others thought that the partnership between GMTM and New Era Corporation perhaps lapsed, and did not get renewed.
Allow me to be the first to say it… the podcast version of Industry Loop with NSK is officially back.
It’s not going anywhere. Naysayers may have hoped that this vision dies…but we serve a living Creator. Our vision is pure and just with this podcast. We do this because we genuinely love what we do. We do this..not for clout or likes…but to genuinely shock you into action. We do this because we understand that the industry needs a credible platform with a host who has earned the respect of his peers after pushing the envelope for the last 13 years.
So, I say to corporate Namibia…now is the opportune time to invest in this platform. Now is the perfect time to attach your brand to the biggest podcast in this country. Now would be excellent timing to align yourself with a podcast which will unearth proudly Namibian stories. Make no mistake…there is no stopping us.
