‘Our visa laws are hampering some of the progress’

WINDHOEK

President Hifikepunye Pohamba has called upon government to seriously look into the problem of visas for the telecommunications sector in the country.

“Our visa laws are hampering some of the progress. We must ensure that our laws continue to promote and not to hamper the growth and expansion of the telecom sector in Namibia,” said President Pohamba.

This was the sentiment with which the Head of State officially opened the new Mobile Telecommunications Company’s (MTC) head office worth N$32-million in Windhoek yesterday.
