Wanderers, Kudus equip for semifinals

Wanderers 1 head coach, Dirk Human, expressed that it is always a privilege to compete in this weekend’s semifinals at Windhoek High School Vegkop. 

He highlighted the team’s enthusiasm, as all their squads prepare for the crucial matches. “Some players are very familiar with the grounds, so it will be thrilling to see them return to Vegkop. We are pleased with our club’s progress and eagerly anticipate seeing our strategies come to life on game day,” said Human.

In addition, Shaun White remarked that Wanderers are a well-structured and clinical team. “What we need to do is minimise our mistakes and stick to our structure on game day. We would also like to encourage our fans to travel down to watch the guys play,” he said.

The day’s matches will kick off at 10h00 with United Gemsbokkies taking on Wanderers Bokkies in the women’s first semifinal. At 11h30, Unam Steenbokkies will face Rehoboth Bokkies in the second women’s semifinal. 

In the reserve league, Wanderers 2 will compete against Unam 2 at 13h00 in the first semifinal. Kudus 2 will then play against Rehoboth 2 at 14h50 in the second reserve league semifinal. 

Later, Wanderers 1 will face Kudus at 16h40, followed by Unam 1 versus Grootfontein 1 at 18h30, concluding the day’s matches.

Currently, Unam leads the log in the premier division, followed by Wanderers in second place and Kudus in third. In the reserve league, Kudus 2 is in the lead, with Wanderers 2 and Unam 2 in second and third, respectively. 

In the women’s division, Unam Steenbokkies are in first place, followed by United Gemsbokkies and Wanderers Bokkies in second and third, respectively.

The First Division (Central) sees Vipers leading, with Okahandja Highlanders and NUST in second and third place. In the First Division (Erongo/North), Etosha Lions are in first place, followed by Oceans and Sparta United in second and third. The Southern Division is led by Ocean Swallows, with Oranjemund and Keetmanshoop Rams in second and third place.
