The City of Windhoek Disaster Risk Management team today conducted inspections in the Max Mutongolume informal settlement in the Moses Garoëb Constituency following recent heavy rains. Assessments found that many of the affected residents are living in riverbeds, where natural water flow occur, contributing to flooding. The municipality has cautioned residents against occupying land that is prone to flooding and not legally allocated.
