Namibia as a developing country has more that needs to be worked on and enhanced for the dream of industrialisation, and moving towards the coherent development of our country.

Every year, thousands of young Namibians obtain their qualifications in various fields of study, not only from the three giant Namibian universities, but also from other local colleges and international universities.

One of the preconditions for the successful delivery of the basic education curriculum indicates that “all schools should be an ICT Level 2 school, according to the ICT Policy for Education 2005”.

“Suicide mortality rate (per 100 000 population) in Namibia was reported at 9.7% in 2019.” 

The education curriculum of today continues to teach learners about drawing locusts, and not teaching them how to mine and run business. Have anyone asked these questions; Why does unemployment continue to escalate? Why have most universities become qualification’s factories? This article seeks to answer the question on “What is on the ground?” 

Education is the process of learning or acquiring knowledge, skills, values, morals, beliefs and habits.

It was on Monday, 22 August 2022 that I read an interesting article in The Namibian newspaper titled “Colonialism messed up.” The article had mixed emotions from the ruling and opposition party. I found a statement by President Hage Geingob worth exploring.
