Home National PAWO-SARO raises N$1 million at fundraising

WINDHOEK – The Pan-African Women’s Organisation for Southern African Regional Office (PAWO-SARO) recently raised over N$1 million at a fundraising gala dinner.

The funds raised will be used for PAWO-SARO’s activities by ensuring that women in the region are empowered in different sectors, a media release issued by the PAWO-SARO Executive Secretary, Mildred Jantjies, reads.

She expressed gratitude to individuals and organisations who contributed to raising the funds.

Jantjies singled out President Hifikepunye Pohamba, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, Secretary of the Swapo Party Women’s Council Petrina Haingura, Trustco, Social Security Commission, the Namibia Diamond Training Company (NDTC), Rudi van Wyk, Africa Jantjies, and Stephen Gaeseb.

“This event would not have been a success without the generous support of our sponsors. We deeply appreciate the willingness with which they have and continue to sponsor our efforts to make our organisation and the promotion of women a great success,” a contented Jantjies said.
