RUNDU – The Namibian Police in Rundu are seeking public assistance to help track suspects who robbed and stabbed to death a male teenager on Friday.
The incidence happened at Rundu’s industrial area, between the Agro Marketing and Trade Agency and Puma service station along John Mutorwa Road, which was officially inaugurated the same day of the incident.
Police sources informed New Era that the area where the incident happened and its surrounding area has recently been a crime hotspot.
“It’s alleged that the deceased was found walking in the street as two boys approached him, held his hands behind the back and stabbed him in the chest. Thereafter, they robbed him of his cell phone, valued at N$2 500, and vanished into the bushes. The deceased died on the spot,’’ said Bonifatius Kanyetu, head of crime investigations in the Kavango East region.
