LUDERITZ – As the hype around this year’s 2nd edition of the Scorpion Zinc U/17 Regional Youth Cup slowly builds up, the //Karas region is hard at work wrapping up preparations and selecting their final squad to represent the region at the youth tourney.

The region recently held trials at the Sports Complex in Luderitz, which was attended by players from various towns within the region. The trials were very competitive as most players put up a blistery performance in a bid to convince the selectors of the regional team.

The team is set to compete at this year’s Scorpion Zinc Cup, slated for Windhoek on the 22-25th of this month. Head coach of the //Karas U/17, Klass Blom applauded the Regional Council Office for  availing transport for players to attend the trials.
